Introducing the Media Copilot
Ahoy,
This is a bit off-topic but I hope it might be helpful.
Like a lot of good folks in media, my buddy Pete Pachal recently got laid off. And, like a lot of good folks in media, he started a Substack. But, unlike a lot of good folks in media, his substack, The Media Copilot, is wildly successful.
Pete’s idea is to describe how AI is changing media, journalism, and the news. He’s a dedicated reporter and editor and his original vision was to teach the poor souls in today’s newsrooms how to survive the coming onslaught of trouble.
He approached me to run a news podcast with him and we recorded a few episodes. That’s when I saw the real potential for his growing platform.
Journalists aren’t the only people facing extinction. Marketers, technical writers, PR people, and even artists are looking down the barrel of a peculiar gun. And it’s been my goal to help folks solve those problems before it’s too late.
So I’m joining Pete on his mission, writing two posts a week, and will help run his podcasts.
I’ll also be working with him on a series of training sessions with marketers and media. If you’d like to schedule a training for your team, we offer a comprehensive 3-hour course on using generative AI to create content including press releases, journalism, and posts. We’ve gotten very good at it - I’ve been doing it for almost two years now and Pete was the head of genAI at CoinDesk. Email us at team@mediacopilot.ai or reply to this email if you’d like to schedule a time to talk. We’re happy to do it over Zoom or in person. We’re global so don’t be shy.
